These last few weeks with all the hatred and violence in the world, I have been really struggling with fear.
We have a minivan. I was originally a bit resistant to the idea of a minivan and the whole “soccer-mom” persona that goes hand in hand with the minivan, but now I have decided any ridicule associated with my van IS WORTH IT.
With my oldest being in school now, there’s this constant fear of any sniffles or coughs–not because I’m worried about her being sick (which sounds more insensitive than it really is), but if she’s sick and will miss school.
